MOBILE PHONES

Legislation is in force outlawing the use of handheld mobile phones while driving. The offence carries a fine and three penalty points.

The use of a mobile phone has been used by the prosecution to attempt to prove cases of driving without due care and attention. We have successfully defended cases in which we have represented drivers.

The evidence of the police can often be successfully challenged by cross-examination.
